Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use · Roamlore
Last updated: 7 June 2026 Effective date: Upon the app's first public release.
Our promise
Roamlore is a community for explorers. To keep it safe and welcoming, everyone agrees to these Guidelines. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, loss of features, or account termination.
1. Be safe and lawful
- Don't endanger people. Don't share routes that knowingly lead into dangerous, restricted, or off-limits areas, or that encourage illegal or reckless activity.
- Respect property and access rules. Don't record or publish routes that trespass on private land or violate local land-access, park, or trail regulations.
- Follow the law. Don't use the app for anything illegal.
2. Respect other people
- No harassment or hate. No bullying, threats, hate speech, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar.
- No doxxing. Don't reveal anyone's home, private location, or personal information without their consent. Be especially careful that routes you publish don't expose someone's home.
- No impersonation. Don't pretend to be someone else or misrepresent a business affiliation.
3. Keep content appropriate
- No objectionable content. No sexual, exploitative, violent, gory, or otherwise objectionable photos, names, descriptions, reviews, or profiles.
- No spam or scams. No fake routes, fake ratings, manipulative referrals, deceptive advertising, or repetitive promotional junk.
- No infringement. Only upload photos and content you have the right to share.
4. Play fair
- Don't manipulate ratings, referrals, ad performance, or rankings with bots or multiple accounts.
- Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the service.
5. Reporting & blocking
We give you tools to keep your experience safe:
- Report a route. On any route, use Report and pick a reason — unsafe, inappropriate, wrong location, broken, spam, or other — with optional notes. Routes that receive multiple reports are automatically hidden from discovery pending review.
- Block a user. From your friends list, you can block someone; blocking removes the connection and prevents further interaction. You can unblock later.
- Contact us. For anything urgent or not covered by in-app tools, email roamlore.app@gmail.com.
6. How we enforce
When content is reported or we otherwise become aware of a violation, we may: - remove or demote the content, - restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account, - preserve information and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
We aim to review reports of objectionable content and abusive users promptly (we target acting on credible reports within 24 hours) and to remove violating content and the users who post it.
7. Appeals
If you believe we acted in error, email roamlore.app@gmail.com and we will review.
